Bra and Panty Sets
Over the years, women have used the bra and panty to do everything from covering and lifting to supporting and shaping simply as a way to enhance and beautify the female silhouette. While materials and designers have played an enormous role in the types of bras and panties worn, current fashion and styles have been an even larger influence. Today, women are creating their own desirable image with sexy lingerie.
Fashion history has shown that glamour has always been what women want most when it comes to their lingerie. 1913 saw the debut of the first modern brassiere. Before then, intimate apparel had consisted of heavily-boned, tight-laced corsets. They may have been recognized as intimate to the men, but women found them extremely uncomfortable and not the least bit intimate. The brassiere brought with it a whole new attitude to women’s undergarments. It was indeed now an item of intimate apparel.
Throughout history panties have been called many things; bloomers, knickers, pantaloons and drawers. Their original purpose was modesty, covering up as much of the female form as possible. However, in the 1920’s the hemline of skirts began to rise and importance came to be given from what peeped out from under it. So in true provocative form women’s bloomers also became shorter.
Today, bra and panty sets are an integral part of every woman’s wardrobe. A “set” simply means that the bra and panty match in color and design. Beautiful bra and panty sets can be worn everywhere from the boardroom (under your work clothes) to the bedroom. They give a woman a sense of feminine power and confidence. Pair a lacy bra, thong and garter set with thigh highs and stilettos with a little black dress or wear a bra and boyshort set under your favorite t-shirt and jeans. No matter what the situation the ever popular bra and panty set will always enchant and captivate.
